Following today's announcement I've blocked our calendar until 12th April, the date we can open if all goes to plan.
We are now open for bookings from 12th April onwards and will of course refund any booked dates that that fall within an extended or a new lockdown period.
We expect our local pub will be open from 17th May 2021

We have had to close again until further notice, I've blocked out the calendar until Mid February but if within these dates you have good reason to stay please get in touch, after this date we are happy for you reserve your dates and you will receive a full refund if the government still has restrictions on travel.
OUR COTTAGE LOCATION
Located in Gillamoor, North Yorkshire and within the NorthYork Moors National Park, our cottage is the perfect base for exploring the moors and coast. There are also many tourist attractions and walks in the area.
ABOUT OUR COTTAGE
Our cosy cottage sleeps 4 in two bedrooms, is totally pet free and tastefully furnished. Modern features include central heating, log burner and wifi. The garden has a decked patio area, bike store and bbq.
THE VILLAGE OF GILLAMOOR
Just 3 miles from Kirkbymoorside and the A170 this friendly village boasts a fantastic local pub just a few paces from the door. The historic church, playground and of course the famous 'surprise view' are all within easy walking distance.
THE WIDER AREA
Walking
The local area boasts a wealth of walking routes, the Clevland way encompasses The North York Moors National Park and the Tabular Hills walk route passes through our village. The famous daffodil walk in Farndale is just a short drive away. Dalby forest tickets are included in our welcome pack, there are plenty of walks and cycle trails for all abilities from the visitor centre.
Exploring
The local area hosts plenty of tourist attractions to explore, with a nice mix of children's, nostalgic, historic and nature attractions. There are many English
Heritage and National trust properties just a short drive away. The cottage has a large selection of maps and leaflets for you to plan your day.
Out and About
The market towns of Pickering and Helmsley are around 15 minutes away with plenty of individual artisan shops, Malton 'Yorkshires food capital' around a 30 minute drive and York, Scarborough and Whitby all reachable within 45 minutes. Many of our guests also travel further afield to Hawes in the Dales, and Saltburn up the coast above Whitby.
